ROLE of the POSITION
The Nevada Interprofessional Healthy Aging Network(NIHAN) Project is federally funded by HRSA Geriatric Workforce Enhancement Program(GWEP). The NIHAN project aims to transform primary care for older adults into age-friendly systems and dementia-friendly communities by developing interprofessional care infrastructure in established primary care sites including academic institutions, adult day care center, rural health clinic, long-term care facility, and free medical clinic for uninsured older adults.

The NIHAN program coordinator as a key member of the NIHAN project team is hired to assist with coordinating all aspects of geriatric training programs for healthcare professional and educational outreach for geriatric communities including patients, caregivers, and community-based organizations. Under the direction of project manager and program leadership, the position assists daily project operations and administration to achieve project goals and objectives. The Program Coordinator serves as a liaison in establishing rapport with community stakeholders.

Essential functions of the position are not limited to, but coordinating the delivery of virtual and/or in-person providers training programs and educational outreach for patients and caregivers, providing administrative assistance and coordination for the application of CME/CE accreditations for NIHAN training courses, scheduling internal and external project meetings and facilitating project work process, and assisting with trainees' demographic data collection and data entry for annual performance report.

QUALIFICATIONS
This position requires a Bachelor's degree from a regionally accredited college or university. Credentials must be obtained prior to the start of employment.

SALARY RANGE
Salary competitive with those at similarly situated institutions. Position is contingent upon funding.
