Compensation and Benefits

Anticipated Hiring Salary Range: $3,352 - $3,520 per month

Full CSU Classification Salary Range: $3,352 - $5,569 per month
  • This is a full-time (equivalent to 40 hours per week), probationary, non-exempt position.

The CSU system provides a comprehensive benefit package that includes medical, dental and vision plans, membership in the California Public Employees Retirement System (CalPERS), sick and vacation time, and 14 paid holidays a year. Job Summary

Under general supervision of the Director of Finance and Administration and Dean of Continuing and Global Education, the employee is responsible for primary coordination of all CGE payroll (including generation of faculty contracts, assignment of contracts to appropriate position numbers, chart fields, and salary schedules, processing and posting of payroll, and regular reconciliation of payroll data to the General Ledger). The employee is also responsible for extended education programming administrative functions such as grants, insurance, tracking/verification of required student information, and processing of administrative paperwork for extended education programming.

Key Qualifications
  • Knowledge of the basic principles and practices of financial record-keeping techniques
  • Knowledge of computer office systems and the ability to use a broad range of technology, systems, and software packages (i.e. Microsoft Word & Excel, Google, etc.)
  • Must possess problem solving skills with the ability to address common and unique problems using reason and judgment
  • Organizational and time-management skills with the ability to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks and projects under competing deadlines and maintain flexibility in response to constantly shifting priorities
  • Must possess excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present information in a clear, concise, and professional manner

Education and Experience
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Four years of professional administrative support experience, which must include experience with payroll and/or bookkeeping or similar financial record-keeping.



Department Summary

The Division of Continuing and Global Education at Fresno State serves as the University's hub of access and innovation, providing educational opportunities to a wide array of audiences that would not be otherwise served by the institution.
