Overview
We are looking for a Chemical Engineer to support our research and development activities. As a R&D Chemical Engineer, you'll be part of a diverse multi-disciplinary team of scientists, engineers, and physicists dedicated to solving environmental problem and facilitating studies on material properties. Your work will require the application of the principles of physics, mathematics, and mechanical and electrical engineering, as well as chemistry. You will be collaborating with other engineers to develop waste management processes; developing process flow diagrams, piping and instrumentation diagrams, and mass balances for new processes; supporting construction/installation field engineering needs; collaborating with operators to develop system design philosophies; collaborating with draftsperson to create drawings; verifying quality and adequacy of experimental data; and assisting in the collation and analysis of data for report preparation.


Responsibilities

Qualifications
Master of Science or PhD. in chemical engineering or related discipline. Three (3) years of post- Master of Science or one (1) year of post-doctoral job experience in a professional/industrial R&D environment. Hands-on experience with multiphase flow and transport phenomena in chemical processes, computerized design (i.e. AutoCAD), and trouble shooting systems. Also, experience with high temperature combustion - residue emissions and off-gas systems, dynamic modeling, and modern flow measurement techniques and signal processing, is highly desired. The ability to problem solve, prioritize, and direct conflicting goals; properly apply resources; work with others to produce integrated development of engineering projects; computer proficiency; strong technical writing skills; and excellent written/verbal communication and interpersonal skills are crucial to this position.
