The University of Nevada, Reno, School of Medicine is recruiting for a Grants & Projects Analyst Trainee for the Office of Medical Research. The Grants & Projects Analyst Trainee will assist the school in grant submissions (preparing budgets, assessing feasibility, liaising with Sponsored Projects), researching appropriate funding opportunities for our diverse faculty, and providing training to junior faculty, post docs, and students in the grant submission process. This position is similar to those in the other highly funded colleges on campus (Engineering, Science, Public Health). The University of Nevada, Reno, School of Medicine (UNR Med), averages over $25M in extramural grant funding. The school plans to grow their Basic Science and Clinical Research portfolios, in an effort to address health disparities and improve health outcomes; contributing to the mission of a healthy Nevada.
Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in public or business administration, accounting, finance or related field; OR graduation from high school or equivalent education and two years of journey level technical or paraprofessional grants experience which includes duties such as assisting with writing grant applications; determining grant/subgrant program eligibility; providing technical assistance to grant/subgrant clients; and/or assisting with fiscal aspects of grants/subgrants; OR two years of paraprofessional experience equivalent to an Administrative Assistant III or Accounting Assistant III in Nevada State service which included assisting in performing grant duties as described above; OR an equivalent combination of education and experience as described above.
